ScioTeq and EAVISE test innovative sensors at Kortrijk-Wevelgem airport
Last Monday, Kortrijk technology company ScioTeq and the KU Leuven research group EAVISE have taken a new step forward in civil aviation safety. At Kortrijk-Wevelgem International Airport, they have collected data using so-called LIDAR sensors. This data will be used to develop new technologies that can make the movements of an aircraft on the ground, such as taxiing or the run-up during takeoff, safer.
