ScioTeq Celebrates the 7000th Flight Display Unit Milestone
ScioTeq proudly marks a major milestone as the 7000th unit of our highly successful Flight Display Unit (FDU) product line rolls off the production line. The FDU is a key instrument in the cockpit providing critical flight information to the pilot such as altitude, airspeed, vertical speed, and heading. It also acts as a navigational display and indicates engine performance and data, including warnings for any faults or malfunctions. In general, it improves the pilot’s situational awareness, reduces pilot workload, and enhances safety. Since receiving its initial C113 ETSO/TSO certification in August 2007 for a (DAL A) PFD – video display, the ScioTeq FDU quickly became a benchmark in business aviation, prominently featured in the Honeywell APEX cockpit.
With its exceptional SWaP-C profile (1.8” deep, 3.5 lbs., 16W) and industry-leading optical performance, the FDU has been a favorite among integrators and pilots alike.
